What Is The Moms Club?

 

The Moms Club was founded by Angeline Piorowski, Kandace Chapple and Kerry Winkler as a joint community service project between Grand Traverse Woman magazine and MomstyleNews.com  As parents of young children they were aware of their own need to have a support network of great women to share the experiences of motherhood. The club was founded as "Grand Traverse Mom Network", but as the reach of the club has extended beyond just the Grand Traverse area the name has been changed to "The Moms Club".  We like to keep things simple.  Just good friends and great fun for all moms.

 

 

 

The Moms Club is a community of moms in the Traverse Bay Area including members from a five-county area (Grand Traverse, Benzie, Leelanau, Kalkaska and Antrim counties). 

 

The benefits of membership include:

• Private online/email chat groups with all local moms,
• Calendar of organized activities
• Several weekly playgroups
• Moms night out
• Monthly speakers
• Family fieldtrips to which any and all family members are invited. 
• VIP (Very Important Parent) local discount cards that give moms club members exclusive discounts to local businesses. 
• We organize a schedule of New Baby Dinner deliveries to member families who welcome home a newborn. 
• We throw Diapers & Wipes parties for member moms who have recently given birth. 
• Annual Babysitter Swap event
• Babysitter List

All of these events are a lot of fun, but biggest benefit of membership is the friendships that you make through active participation in club activities.  It has been said by many members that we were quite isolated before finding the moms club, but now "I don't know what I would do without it" and "I have made so many lifelong friends."

 

All of the above member benefits are included for the $30 per year (that's only $2.50 per month).
